Dr. Emmanuel Bortey Borketey, CEO of Charger Limited, has expressed pride in supporting the growth of the creative industry in the Upper East region. This follows his fulfillment of a financial pledge to winners of the annual Happy Man Bitters Music Awards and the Happy Man Miss Upper East pageant held at Tap Hotel.
Awards and Prizes
The winners received substantial cash prizes. The overall Artiste of the Year won GH¢20,000. The Most Popular Song of the Year winner received GH¢5,000. The Best New Act was awarded GH¢2,000 and a monthly stipend of GH¢500 for the year. The Gospel Song of the Year winner took home GH¢4,000. The Miss Upper East pageant winner received GH¢12,000, while the first runner-up was awarded GH¢7,000.

Dr. Borketey reiterated Charger Limited’s commitment to recognizing and supporting young talent in the Upper East region.
